It involves tracking news online in real-time, online trends, breaking news, and the like, which fortunately is what I had been doing before for Breaking Tweets. Now I can get paid for it! I love doing it so it's a great fit. I seek to work my hardest, as I always do, and give the position my all, and best of all as I said, I'm passionate about it so that helps a ton.Craighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04088763811784840519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-808351584614254164.post-36203046022721910902009-12-07T22:44:19.891-06:002009-12-07T22:44:19.891-06:00Thanks so much Josh. It is just the beginning my friend. With your ambitions and talent, only you can decide your future.

For Breaking Tweets, you should run an interview process, or ask for applications, AFTER finding a way to make some sort of revenue off of it, which I think is very easily possible.

Whatever you do with it, be proud, and dont just give it up. Appreciate you taking the time to share your thoughts.

Of course we had some discussions about Breaking Tweets, but the talk seemed to shift to working with them after a bit, doing similar things such as monitoring trends. I don't think you could have picked a better place to get a start.

As for Breaking Tweets, I would try to get HuffPo interested in merging it with their news operation somehow. I think there is potential there for something quite interesting to emerge.Unknownhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/12149136480604991713noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-808351584614254164.post-86677825169295226152009-12-05T20:44:14.129-06:002009-12-05T20:44:14.129-06:00Thanks Kevin. Passing ...Thanks Kevin. I really do appreciate it.

Passing it on makes sense to me logically, but I struggle with who that person would be. It needs to be someone very ambitious who is willing to post often or at least recruit and run the overall operation, and no one immediately comes to mind. If anyone sees this comment though and may be interested, let me know!Craighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04088763811784840519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-808351584614254164.post-6387049075389374282009-12-05T20:37:26.738-06:002009-12-05T20:37:26.738-06:00I'm afraid that I'm way to excited for you...I'm afraid that I'm way to excited for you and proud of your good work to offer any good suggestions. The first thing that comes to mind is to simply pass BreakingTweets on to another ambitious journalist that you trust to carry on its tradition. Give that person the opportunity to use it as a sort of live training grounds and possibly a great starting point for a great career, like the one you have started. Again, congratulations!Kevin Sablanhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02177158382255257909noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-808351584614254164.post-67461625017101468342009-12-05T20:18:42.957-06:002009-12-05T20:18:42.957-06:00Thanks Vadim. It isn't easy by any means and with its 1-year anniversary coming up, it's hard to give up too.

You'd think the domain name is worth something and the site has had thousands of links. It ranks well on Google. Its Twitter followers are loyal and were built over time. So perhaps selling could be an option.

I suppose integrating it with HuffPost could be an option too and is something I should talk with them more about as a possibility. I wonder if it was run as a separate blog on the site? That's one thing I haven't proposed yet. We'll see.

Thanks for the comment.Craighttps://www.blogger.com/profile/04088763811784840519noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-808351584614254164.post-37267408711443152012009-12-05T20:10:13.948-06:002009-12-05T20:10:13.948-06:00That's a tough call. I would say think of whether any of the contributors could take it over (if you want to give it up). Maybe someone would be interested in buying it? Maybe you could integrate it within a page on Huffington Post, a section that integrates news from Twitter? All are things to think about. I would look at what the options you actually have are and then go from there.Vadim Lavrusikhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02412071307680458783noreply@blogger.com
